Help! I have forgotten how to pack

Woman confidently sits on top of overflowing suitcase.

CEO of RYMPOK here with a personal post and maybe a cry for help. I have forgotten how to pack. I went to a work conference a few weeks ago and packed maybe the worse bag of my life. As the CEO of a travel company I do not have to explain how embarrassing that was.

My luggage had stuff from a previous trip, stuff for a future trip, missed some crucial items like flip-flops. I even had to shop for a new outfit while I was there. Yet, my suitcase was still so heavy I had to check it.

I cannot say this is a sudden development. I have packed some miserable bags in the past year. This trip was especially egregious as I almost broke my bag because it was so over stuffed. I simply have not wanted to think about packing.

This has been my strategy in the past, to think about packing to the point of obsession. I would spend hours thinking about what to bring. I would laminate my packing lists and methodically fold clothes to perfectly fit in packing cubes. As I have made travel my profession my hobby of packing and traveling has suffered greatly.

I really am not sure what I should do next, but leaving it as it is is not an option. I think it is time to rebuild my packing list from scratch. To take all that I have learned and create the ultimate packing list.

I started RYMPOK for the always packed. For those who travel so much and go so many places that their bags are always packed and ready for the next adventure. It is time I take my own advice.

I hope you will join me as I rebuild my list from scratch. To determine what is needed and why to create the ultimate packing list.
